1. Inspect Before Accepting
Always inspect firearms at your FFL dealer before accepting transfer. Once you take possession of a firearm it is legally considered "used" and federal regulations prevent it from being returned as new. Cosmetic or mechanical issues identified at the dealer can be refused on the spot — we will arrange return shipping and replacement.
2. New, Unfired Firearms
- If a defect is identified at the FFL before transfer: full refund or replacement, no restocking fee.
- After you take possession, the firearm must be serviced through the manufacturer's warranty. We will help facilitate the claim.
3. Ammunition
For safety reasons, ammunition is not returnable once it leaves our warehouse. Manufacturer defects will be addressed through the manufacturer's warranty.
4. Accessories, Optics & Parts
- Unopened, unused items may be returned within 30 days for a refund less return shipping.
- Opened items may be eligible for exchange or store credit at our discretion.
- Custom, special-order or final-sale items are not returnable.
5. How to Start a Return
Email returns@riffleexchange.com with your order number and a description of the issue. We will send a Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) and shipping instructions. Returns sent without an RMA may be refused.
6. Refunds
Approved refunds are issued to the original payment method within 5–10 business days after the returned item is received and inspected.
7. Warranties
Most firearms and optics carry manufacturer warranties. We will help connect you with the manufacturer for warranty service.
