Shipping & FFL Transfer

1. Order Processing

Orders are typically processed within 1–2 business days. You will receive a confirmation email when your order is received and a second email with tracking when it ships.

2. Firearms — FFL Transfer Required

Federal law requires all firearms to ship to a licensed FFL dealer, not to a residential address. Follow these steps:

  • Choose an FFL dealer near you and ask if they accept transfers and what their transfer fee is.
  • Ask the dealer to email a signed copy of their FFL license to ffl@riffleexchange.com referencing your order number, or enter the dealer's information at checkout and we will request the license.
  • Once the FFL is verified, we ship the firearm to the dealer. You complete the ATF Form 4473 background check in person at the dealer before taking possession.
  • The dealer's transfer fee is paid directly to the dealer at pickup.

3. Ammunition

  • Ammunition ships via ground service only. It cannot ship by air.
  • We do not ship ammunition to AK, HI, MA, NY (where age 21+ ID verification is required at delivery and additional restrictions apply), or PR, or to any jurisdiction where doing so would be unlawful.
  • An adult signature is required at delivery.

4. Accessories, Optics & Non-Regulated Items

Items that are not regulated firearms can ship to your residence by standard ground service. Some destinations may have local restrictions on magazines, suppressor components and certain optics; you are responsible for compliance.

5. Shipping Methods, Times & Costs

  • Free standard ground shipping on orders over $250 (some exclusions apply).
  • Standard ground typically delivers in 3–7 business days from ship date.
  • Expedited methods are available at checkout where the carrier permits.
  • We do not ship internationally or to APO/FPO/DPO addresses for firearms or ammunition.

6. Lost, Damaged, or Stolen Shipments

Inspect every package immediately. If a package shows signs of damage or tampering, refuse delivery and contact us. Claims for lost or damaged shipments must be reported within 7 days of the carrier's delivery date.

7. Backorders & Cancellations

If an item is unexpectedly out of stock we will notify you with the estimated restock date and your option to wait or cancel for a full refund.
